Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 12, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Lauren Albrecht Therapy ("we," "our," or "I") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit laurenalbrechttherapy.com (the "Site"). By using this Site, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information I Collect

Information you provide directly. If you submit the contact form, I collect your name, email address, optional phone number, and the message you write. This is used only to respond to your inquiry.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, Google Analytics collects anonymized usage data including pages visited, approximate time on site, general geographic region, referral source, and device type. No personally identifiable information is linked to this data, and your IP address is anonymized before storage.

2. How I Use Your Information

  • To respond to inquiries submitted through the contact form
  • To understand how visitors use the Site so I can improve its content and structure
  • To comply with legal obligations

I do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. No Protected Health Information (PHI)

This Site is not a secure channel for clinical communications. Please do not share sensitive health information, diagnoses, medication details, symptoms, or other Protected Health Information (PHI) through the contact form.

All clinical communications with active clients are handled through SimplePractice, a HIPAA-compliant practice management system. A full Notice of Privacy Practices (HIPAA NPP) is provided to every client at intake and is available upon request.

4. Third-Party Services

This Site uses the following third-party services:

  • Formspree — processes contact form submissions. See Formspree's privacy policy .
  • Google Analytics — anonymized traffic analytics via Google LLC. See Google's privacy policy .
  • Cloudflare — hosting, DNS, and content delivery. See Cloudflare's privacy policy .
  • Google Maps — an embedded map on the Contact page displays the office location. Google may receive information about your visit (such as your IP address) when the map loads. The map is lazy-loaded, so no data is sent to Google until you scroll to it. See Google's privacy policy .

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

This Site currently uses only Google Analytics cookies for aggregate traffic analysis. No advertising, retargeting, or cross-site tracking cookies are used today. You can disable cookies in your browser settings if you prefer, though some parts of the Site may not function as intended without them.

Future advertising tracking. I may add conversion tracking or remarketing technologies in the future (for example, Google Ads conversion tags) to understand which search terms lead people to my practice. If and when this happens, this Privacy Policy will be updated before the tracking is implemented, and the technologies will be disclosed here. If interest-based advertising is ever used, you may opt out of many third-party ad networks via the Network Advertising Initiative and the Digital Advertising Alliance .

6. "Do Not Track" Signals

Some browsers transmit "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals. This Site does not currently respond to DNT signals because no universal standard exists for interpreting them. However, I do not use advertising, retargeting, or cross-site tracking technologies regardless of DNT settings.

7. California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), including:

  • The right to know what personal information I collect about you and how it is used
  • The right to request access to or deletion of your personal information
  • The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information
  • The right to limit the use of sensitive personal information
  • The right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights

I do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with any third party for advertising or any other commercial purpose. I have never done so and have no intention of doing so. The third-party services listed above process data strictly to provide their respective functions (hosting, analytics, contact form delivery, map display).

To exercise any of these rights, or to make any request regarding your personal information, email me at laurenalbrechtamft@gmail.com. I will respond within 45 days, as required by the CCPA.

8. Children's Privacy

This Site is intended for use by adults, parents, and guardians. It is not directed at children under 13. I do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided information through this Site, please contact me and I will delete it promptly.

9. Data Security

I take reasonable measures to protect information submitted through the contact form, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) for all traffic between your browser and the Site. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure, and I cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Data Retention

Contact form submissions are retained only as long as needed to respond to the inquiry and document the interaction, and are deleted or archived thereafter. Analytics data is retained per Google's default retention settings.

11. Changes to This Policy

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be announced on the Site for a reasonable period before taking effect. Your continued use of the Site after any change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

12. Contact
